Binding posts are a functional and fun way to bind together loose sheets, fabric swatches, and more. With our variety of binding post styles, you can accomplish any number of uses. Let’s quickly review each one…
First are the Aluminum Screw posts. These are the most popular kind of binding post, and are often also called Chicago screws. They easily screw together and apart for quick and easy editing, and have a large rage of capacities from 1/8” inch to 5 inches, plus have the ability to expand them with extensions. They are also available in several colors. Next are our steel screw posts. These function just like the aluminum, but are made of a stronger metal for heavier duty applications. Steel screw posts come in capacities from ¼” to 2” with the ability to add extensions. They are available in a natural silver color.
Now onto the plastic binding posts…First, we have snap lock posts. Although the screw is threaded, most users prefer to just snap these together. The threading on just 1 end creates a strong bind that is considered semi-permanent, as it can be very difficult to pull apart. Choose from plastic snap lock binding posts in white, black, or clear, and sizes from 3/16 of an inch to 1”. We also offer snap lock screws with loops, making them perfect for hanging your signs and other materials. Snap-lock loop screws come in white and sizes from 3/16 of an inch to 1”. Lastly, we have push-lock posts which snap closed when you press them, but are meant for thinner stacks where the snap locks are too large. They can bind as few as just 2 sheets cleanly, and come in either a small head or large head option.
