This high-speed creaser/folder combines the well-loved elements from previous Atlas models with new features for unmatched capabilities in professionally finishing digitally printed sheets. The folder still has the single-pass high-speed creasing and folding and dynamic creasing matrix and the patented floating knife folding mechanism that can process media up to 6,000 sheets per hour. The unique matrix eliminates the problem of cracking in digital printouts by compressing paper fibers in lieu of cutting thus eliminating unsightly cracks on the creased or folded edge. A user-friendly 7” color touchscreen control panel with bold icons and intuitive steps gives the folder a fresh upgrade. The fully automatic setup allows users to input the sheet length, weight, and fold type using the color touchscreen; the Atlas C350 automatically calculates and sets the crease positions for accurate and precise folding. Custom and repeat jobs can be stored in the folder’s extensive memory that can accommodate an unlimited number of programs. To accommodate larger media, the folder is equipped with a flexible infeed and outfeed system; a top-loading vacuum infeed allows for quick handling of media stacks up to 7.9 inches high, the feed table extension can accommodate sheets up to 51" long. A new two-in-one output configuration that includes a fully-automatic belt stacker for folded sheets and a catch tray capable of handling creased sheets up to 35" long is another upgrade to watch out for. Switching from creasing to folding can be done without reconfiguring the machine as it can be done right from the control panel.

Optical sensors aid in the faultless feeding of sheets and automatically makes adjustments when needed. The blade matrix requires no tools in swapping creasing and perforating blades, changing of blades can be done in as fast as 30 seconds. The C350P can also be used as a stand-alone creaser, or as a perforator when creasing and folding are not required. Rugged metal construction and compact make the folder an ideal addition to print shops and production facilities with limited spaces.

The Atlas C350P is equipped with a 2nd creasing/perforating blade kit that allows for single-pass up and down creasing along with cross/partial perforation for hinges, book covers, multi-panel brochures, and tear-off applications.

Standard equipment includes an in-line rotary perforation kit, which allows for creasing, perforating and folding in a single pass. An optional cross perforating blade kit can be used to combine creasing and cross perforating for a variety of jobs including brochures with tear-offs.
