To change the FP-1XLS drill bit, simply use the allen wrench to loosen the attached bit, remove it, replace it with the new bit, and tighten it back up again with that allen wrench. That's it! Easy changeover from size to size, or replacing worn out drill bits is so fast and easy, you can do it in just a few seconds. To adjust the height of the drill bit, simply turn the stroke adjuster on the top of the machine (not the handle) either to the right or the left. For optimum paper drilling, the bit should penetrate the plastic pad 0.5mm when pressed down. Tip: remember to rotate the plastic pad to ensure perfect hole punching for longer, as well as get double use out of it, so you can replace it less often. Drill bits are sold individually, and the punch pads (also called plastic pads or drill blocks) are sold in a pack of 3.

   ② Place your new drill bit on, and tighten the screw with the allen wrench. That's it! Easy changeover from size to size, or replacing worn out drill bits is so fast and easy, you can do it in just a few seconds.

How to Adjust the FP-1XLS Drill Bit Height:
You should always ensure the height of the drill bit is set properly before you begin, especially after you change out the drill bit. To adjust the height of the drill bit, thereby adjusting how deep it will punch, simple rotate the stroke adjuster on the top of the machine by twisting it right or left. The optimum drill bit height setting will create a 0.5mm depression into the plastic pad when pressed down.
