Our Rhino large cutting mats are heavy-duty and longer lasting than other brands. They come in a huge selection of oversized dimensions, from 2' x 4' (24" x 48") up to 6' x 12' (72" x 144"). Included with the cutting mat is a grid underlay sheet made of styrene that is printed with 1" alignments so you can easily line up your items for accurate cuts. Just place the clear cutting mat over the grid to use the measurements, or use the cutting mat without the grid if not needed.

Description

These ultra heavy duty, premium cutting mats are perfect for professional users, industrial applications, printers, sign makers, framers, photographers, designers, and so much more. They are made of a 3/16" thick seamless self-healing polyethylene material that is meant to last. Included with the cutting mat is a grid underlay with 1" alignments so you can easily line up your items for accurate cuts. Perfect for your cutting table, these mats are meant to be stored flat and provide the perfect cutting surface for guillotine and hand held blades.

Important note: All the grids smaller than 4' x 8' have a numbered scale and 1" grid squares. The 4' x 8' and 4' x 2' sizes have the scale on all edges. The 4'x6' size has the scale on the top, bottom, and left edge (no scale on right). All sizes 4' x 10' or larger have the 1" grid squares, but no edge scale.

TIP: These large cutting mat ships rolled up. You should take your mat out of the package when you receive it, and lay it curl-side down for around 24 hours. Once flattened, it will naturally relax. Don’t put anything on top of the mat to press it flat, since this can damage and permanently distort it.  
 
Avoid applying extreme heat like a heat gun, hair dryer, or heater to loosen the mat up. It’s more likely to heat one spot up or cause warping. To apply even heat, you can lay it outside in the driveway to soak up some sun. After it's loosened, it will stay flat.

Please note that the grid is just a thin sheet of a PVC material called styrene. The mat is what protects the tabletop and is 1/4" thick .

Does the grid sheet have numbers or is it just squares with no numbers? Will the mat sit securely on top of the grid sheet or will it be slippery?

The 4x2, 4x6, 4x8, 5x8, and 5x10 grid sheets have numbers on the perimeter. The grids have double-sided tape on the corners; it attaches itself to the table and the mat attaches itself to the grid to secure both pieces together.
